About the Author

Marc with Bob Worthington

Marc Bonagura is an Assistant Professor of English at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, New Jersey. He received a Master’s Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Georgia in 1988 and has taught writing and literature at a number of colleges including the University of Georgia.

Marc has also taught at-risk, inner city teenagers, co-creating a dropout prevention program called The Cardinal Academy in Plainfield, New Jersey in 1998-1999.

Marc's father, Michael John Bonagura (1923-1993), fought on Guadalcanal with the 1st Marine Division (Fifth Marines, 2nd Battalion).

Marc lives in New Jersey and spends much of his free time practicing Yoga and studying energetic healing and herbal medicine. He has also worked for many years on various issues regarding the rights of Native Americans.

The Tiger is Dead is his first book.
